The conference will be held at Anacã Hotel in São Carlos. The city of São Carlos city has around 250,000 inhabitants and hosts two universities: one campus of University of São Paulo devoted to technological areas, like engineering, physics, chemistry, and the Federal University of São Carlos. São Carlos is 240 Km far from São Paulo City and close to the coast of the São Paulo state where beautiful and inspiring beaches can be explored. Airports and bus stations are nearby as well. How to reach São Carlos

     

The closest airports are São Paulo (Guarulhos or Congonhas) or Campinas (Viracopos). From these airports to São Carlos, ground transportation is required.

 

• From Guarulhos to São Carlos - First you have to go to Tietê Bus Station. You have two options: By taxi (approximately R$ 100,00) or by taking the Airport Bus Service. This is a 24/7 service from the airport to the bus station that you don’t need to book in advance. The rate is R$ 37,00 and you can by the ticket at their office, located outside the international terminal.
  
  Once you reach Tietê bus station, there are two companies: Viação Cometa or Empresa Cruz. They have hourly buses from São Paulo to São Carlos (R$ 54,00), starting at 7:00 am. The last bus (Cruz) leaves Tietê at 23:30. You also don’t need to book in advance.
  

 

• From Viracopos to São Carlos - You have some options to go from the airport to the bus station: By taxi (approximately R$ 100,00) or by taking one of the available buses. The rate will depend on the bus, but for sure is much cheaper than the taxi.
  
  Once you reach the bus station, there are also two companies: Viação Cometa or Empresa Cruz, which the following schedule. Cometa: 06:30, 09:30, 12:00, 14:00, 17:30, 20:00, 22:50 and 23:30. Cruz: 06:50, 08:00, 10:00, 12:50, 14:30, 17:20, 18:00, 20:30. You also don’t need to book in advance.
